Did PG&E Employees Witness the Early Beginnings of the Camp Fire?
This week, PG&E employees stepped forward to bring the most recent news in the Camp Fire developments when they stated that they saw the beginning flames from the fire that caused devastation throughout all of California. At this time, Cal Fire and many other agencies continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the Camp Fire so that they can determine what sparked the fire in the first place, believing that it was a matter of equipment that was badly maintained and improperly used. With these new developments, evidence continues to pile up against PG&E, which means that they could very well be held liable when this specific case investigation is complete.
Due to the forwardness of the employees working for PG&E, Cal Fire has been able to identify two origin points where they believe the worst of the Camp Fire began. Employees came forward and said that they saw flames in the area of the Feather River Canyon on the morning the fire broke out. In another instance, a PG&E supervisor came forward and said that they saw a fire starting in a clearing in Pulga that appeared to be around 1,000 square feet. Photographs were taken of the fires as they were spreading, uploaded to social media outlets by employees, witnesses, and more.
Cal Fire says that many wildfires started due to the apparent negligence of PG&E over the years. In fact, from just 2017-2018, 530 wildfires have been reported, 315 of these that were in the service areas of PG&E under their responsibility. If a witness sees an accident or disaster take place, they can be one of the worthiest pieces of evidence in your case.
